ABOUT LUNA EVENT RENTALS

The same lights. A new name on the trailer.

Luna Event Rentals operates the equipment and continues the work of Air Effects / Sky Tracker Gulf South, an event lighting business established in New Orleans in 1996. The searchlight units, balloon systems, and crew experience come with it. What changed is the name on the trailer and the people answering the phone.

Mardi Gras parades, homecoming season, and fall festival weekends book early across South Louisiana and the Gulf Coast, so we recommend locking in peak dates ahead of time. Have a last-minute event this week? Call or text us and we will roll if a rig is open.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Quick answers for event planners.

Do we need to provide venue electrical power for the searchlights? +

No venue power is required. Each SkyTracker trailer carries its own heavy-duty commercial mobile generator. Because it is an outdoor industrial generator, we park the trailer curb-side, near the front gate, or along your parking lot perimeter where normal outdoor sound blends in.

How much space does a SkyTracker trailer require? +

One standard parking space (about 10' × 15') on level pavement, gravel, or firm turf with a clear vertical view of the sky. For Mardi Gras parades, our searchlights mount directly inside the bed of our parade tow truck.

Can you put our custom logo on Airstar balloons or project monograms on walls? +

Yes. We produce custom vinyl logos for our 5-foot Airstar Crystal spheres and Lunix helium balloons, and we offer stationary or rotating custom Gobo projectors for monograms, krewe crests, and corporate logos.

How far in advance should we reserve our date? +

Mardi Gras parades, school homecomings, and peak fall or spring weekends often book weeks or months ahead. If you have a last-minute event coming up this week, call or text (504) 282-5759 and we will let you know right away if a crew is available.
